What is a PCA?
A personal care assistant (PCA) is a caregiver who assists an individual with activities of daily living in their home, their community, their school and in their work place. Activities of daily living include bathing, transferring, dressing, driving, toileting, eating, shopping, reading, assistance to support employment, sports, recreation, entertainment and many other activities of daily life.
Do I pay my PCA through the PCAmatch.org app?
Nope! All financial exchanges will happen outside the app.
At this time, PCAmatch.org facilitates connections exclusively via messaging.
If no transaction takes place, how will reviews be calculated?
Reviews will be based on follow-up feedback forms sent within 72 hours after an interaction takes place via messaging.

Who is listed on PCAmatch.org?
All experience types are welcome! We are here to empower every type of PCA, and provide all options to our community of PCA-seekers to filter and find their perfect match(es).
Do you do background checks on your caregivers?
No, we do not perform background checks for providers listed. In order for a background check to be totally accurate it must be done at exactly at the time of hire. That is why we encourage all clients to perform their own background checks when they are ready to select a personal assistant to employ. We have strong relationships with many background check resources and will provide referrals. It is strongly encouraged that all consumers perform their own background checks.
How much should I pay caregivers?
Providers set the rate that they are willing to work at. We recommend to providers that their rate should reflect their specialized skills, experience, and a rate that makes them passionate about doing their job. Think about the work that you need done and take all of that into considering when coming up with a pay rate you are willing to pay.
What if there's a problem with my caregiver?
QuickMatch is designed to help providers and customers find each other simply and . With that being said though, you as the customer will be the employer of any provider contacted on the list and will be responsible for dealing with any issues that arise when working for you.
Can you help me select a caregiver who would be a good fit?
We encourage the individual seeking care to also do their own homework. Good matches are the result of strong communication between providers, consumers, and staff.
